Since this year started, this girl has had a reason to smile everyday. On most days, in fact, she’s had much to laugh about. Its a great feeling. A great place to be. Really.
Earlier this evening, this girl met up with some old church friends for coffee: Pilot Boy, Tubs and Faithful. These are friends she has known for forever; you know, the kind that have seen you in your PJs, seen you with panda eyes, seen you down and out, up and running. The kind that have seen you flounder as you were finding yourself, the kind that was there as you grew from girl to woman. Who, even if they have been absent somewhat in your life sometimes, knows you. Inside and out. These are the ones that dare to ask the uncomfortable questions and listen, patiently and lovingly, though the trying answers.
These are friends who truly sees you.
For who you are.
And loves you, flaws, scars and all.
Moonhead shared this singer with this girl a while back; Marie Digby is a new singing sensation with one of the most beautiful voices this girl has heard in a while. Honest and simple. And when this girl listened to her singing Miss Invisible, it took her breath away. Mostly because the song speaks the language of the soul, but also, in part, this girl would admit, she is so grateful she knows there are people in her life who truly sees her.
