The NY Times (online or otherwise) has great articles. Mr. Toesocks, from the bowels of Uganda would read it as religiously as possible (in particular the fashion section- for good writing, no less) on the many days he spends at the club where they have internet. Kungfu Master is another one and a while back he sent this girl this article with the following email message and a webpage link:
You know those cheesy inspirational stories that people love to
forward to each other? I can’t stand them. They’re so insipid and not
even halfway believable that most of them die an early death in my
inbox without even being opened.But this story is something else. Trust me.
And the story IS something else.
It made this girl tear up- The Boy still, gratefully, asleep and not around to see her emo-ness.
